London Global targets e-risk
A specialist IT consulting firm from the City has chosen think M. as its marketing support partner in developing new UK based ‘e risk' services. LGA has been actively establishing awareness and solutions to internet based risks in the capital and overseas in Dubai for a range of blue chip clients in both the public and private sectors.
Companies need to practice due care in the operation of their internet, intranet and extranet websites, web applications and e-commerce systems to prevent security breaches and to have controls in place to mitigate the effect when breaches occur. Failure to practice such due care is negligence and increases business risk.
According to the BBC, the number of malicious programs found online has reached an unprecedented high. Security software testing organisation AV Test reported that it saw 5.49 million unique samples of malicious software in 2007 - five times more than the 972,606 it saw in 2006.
Prompted by new legislative drivers and early adoption of new internet security policy in the public sector LGA is establishing new advisory services UK wide.
More broadly the company seeks to collaborate with regional development agencies and thought leaders in the academic environment to establish centres of expertise throughout the UK.
